Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oil
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 3 1/3 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
- Grease and flour loaf pans
- Blend oil, eggs, water and pumpkin
- Sift flour, salt, nutmeg, baking soda, cinnamon and sugar
- Make a well in the center; add pumpkin mixture and blend until moistened
- Add raisins and nuts; blend
- Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- When cool, sift powdered sugar on top
- Makes 2 large loaves
